Sorry, but there are a LOT of images to load so bear with me please!
For a list of entries so far, click HERE!

What's This About?
So I got a new widescreen LCD TV/Monitor and man is it sweet!  I got it widescreen so I could have more desktop space to do art with, but now it has caused me a new dilemna.  I don't have any wallpaper in 16:9 wide aspect ratio.

Rules
So here's the contest: Make me the best Final Fantasy themed wallpaper you can.  It can be based on any Final Fantasy game.  You can mix games from the series if you want.  It has to be all your own original artwork.  No pre-existing FF art can be used, with the exception of those oh-so-cool logos they come up with.  And the size MUST be 1280x768, cuz, well... that's how large my screen is now.

How to Enter
Post your entry up on your DA gallery and send me a DA note or reply to this journal with a link to your entry.  That's all it takes :)

Deadline is July 22 at 11:59 PM EST, and voting will take place from July 23-29.

Voting will be done via notes to me or comments to this journal entry.  You can only vote once, and yes you can vote for yourself :)  I will vote once too, but for those who have been asking me what my fav FF is, it doesn't really matter because I'm not the one picking the winners (but it is FF6 if you really wanna know, though Advent Children is a close second).

Prize Rules
I've added to the prizes!  Here's how this will work... there will be a pool of prizes to choose from.  The 1st place winner gets to choose a prize first.  The 2nd place winner gets to choose next.  The 3rd place winner gets to choose last.

In addition, the top 3 winners will each receive both a Before Crisis strap and a Sony lanyard:

=======================================
FFVII Before Crisis Mobile Phone Strap/Screen Cleaner &
Sony PS2 lanyard

=======================================

Cell phone screen cleaners were the big thing at E3 2005, and this neat strap from Square-Enix is definitely one of the rarer items out there.  And although they were everywhere at E3, I don't think you can get this stylish blue lanyard outside of attending the show.

Prize List
I tried to keep these prizes as FF or RPG related as possible.

=======================================
My copy of Final Fantasy VII (7) for the PC
=======================================

It comes in the original game box, has the game manual and all 4 discs (3 game cds and 1 install cd).

=======================================
The Music of Suikoden
AND
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne soundtrack CD

=======================================

For all you soundtrack lovers out there :)
I won in an online Suikoden 4 scavenger hunt sponsored by Konami.  This disc is not for resale and was only available as a scavenger hunt prize.  There are 14 tracks and the whole CD is 35:29 minutes long.  The first 8 tracks are from Suikoden IV and there are 2 tracks each from Suikoden I - Suikoden III.
The Atlus room was pretty well hidden at E3 and not many people picked this disc up.  According to my CD player, there are 33 tracks on the SMT: Nocturne CD and it is 75:04 minutes long.

=======================================
FFVII Advent Children Shinra business card case
=======================================

The card case is a little bigger than a business card and holds probably 20 cards.  It is metal and will set off the metal detectors at the airport, trust me I know.  It comes with the original box and is an original Square-Enix licensed product, not a bootleg.  They don't even sell these on eBay.

=======================================
Final Fantasy Trading Arts figure set
=======================================

I know it's not the full set cuz I don't have all of the pewter-finished versions and the secret Zack or color Seph, but what you see are the ones I have and the ones I'm offering up as a prize.  The Sephiroth figure is the only one made of PVC with a pewter colored paint finish.  The rest are the full color version, but that should be obvious from the photos.  Made by Square-Enix and all are about 4 inches tall.  They all come with a base except for Lulu, who doesn't need one.

=======================================
Magic The Gathering Trading Card Game & Magic Online
=======================================

This game box contains (from the back of the box):
* Two decks featuring illustrated cards of creatures and spells
* A 14-card pack with more advanced cards for expanded game play
* A collectable premium card
* Two play guides to take you and your opponent through the game step by step
* An easy-to-read rulebook for complete rules reference
* Two playmats with scorekeeping counters
* A CD-ROM featuring exciting games that cover the key aspects of Magic and Magic Online play, plus the Magic Online program
* A Magic Online user's manual
* A credit for online versions of all the cards included in this core game

=======================================
Dragon Quest VIII Slime Pair
=======================================

You get both of 'em!  Measures about 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall.  Their oddly cute smiles leave novice opponents with an uneasy feeling.  They're also squishy and useful for taking out your stress :)

=======================================
Soul Calibur 3 keychain &
Namco May 05 - May 06 Calendar

=======================================

Includes images from upcoming games like Soul Calibur III and Hellgate London.  Same as what I have up for sale in one of my other journal entries.

=======================================
Samurai Shodown Shiki figure
=======================================

Mint in box with beautiful art on the card.  As seen in Samurai Shodown 64 and more recently in SNK vs Capcom: Chaos, it's Shiki!  She stands 6 inches tall and comes with her trademark dual wakizashis.  Also has a base and stand, though she has an amazing ability to stand perfectly balanced despite her high heels.  The sculpting is particularly well done and her tattoos and flower pattern on her skirt are beautiful.  I happened to have this extra Shiki figure still in the box, the result of a botched eBay purchase from a few years back.  I accidentally bought the figure despite already having one :XD:

Please do your best!  Thanks and good luck everyone!
